Job Description:
Palabora Copper (Pty) Ltd hereby invites Ba-Phalaborwa Communities to apply for In-service Training Opportunity. The opportunity is aimed at supporting students from the University of Technology with the work experience required to attain their National Diploma. Successful candidates will enter a 12-month In-Service Training contract with Palabora Copper.
In-Service Training Opportunities are available in the following disciplines
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Analytical Chemistry
- Process Control / Instrumentation
Selection and qualifying criteria:
• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Must have completed all S4 subjects.
• Must be between 18 - 35 years old with no criminal record.
• Currently unemployed and have never embarked on an In-Service Training Opportunity before

• Curriculum Vitae
• Certified copy of a full academic record
• Certified copy of matric certificate
• Certified copy of a South African ID
• Confirmation letter from the institution
• Proof of residential address for Ba-Phalaborwa communities (i.e. Maseke, Lulekani, Makhushane, Namakgale, Benfarm, Selwane, Mashishimale and Phalaborwa Town) e, g Municipal letter or Tribal Authority letter, certified by a commissioner of Oaths
Additional information:
- This is a training opportunity and Palabora Copper will not be obliged to offer permanent jobs to the candidates upon successful completion of the program
