Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) would like to provide internships to deserving young unemployed citizens. SMU hopes to provide experience to young South Africans, and give them the opportunity to compete in the job market. The incumbents will be exposed to experiential learning in the field of Internal Audit and Risk Management. The candidates must meet the requirements and competencies, and be responsible for the key performance areas listed below:

 REQUIREMENTS  

• A three-year post-matric Internal Audit qualification or related qualification
• Must not have previous exposure to internship  
• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
• Ability to pay attention to detail 
• Must be a South African citizen

• Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people 
• Good communication and Interpersonal skills
• Planning and organizing
• Client orientation 
• Result focus
• Stress tolerance  

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
• Perform Risk Management and Internal Audit administration tasks and provide support to the Department 
• Assist in the execution and follow up of Audits and Risk Assessments
• Assist with all the activities of the Risk Management and Internal Audit Department o Organise and schedule meetings
Minute taking
o Typing of letters, memos and reports 
o Filing 
o Travelling logistics 
o Accommodation Bookings
• Rotate for exposure to relevant Risk and Internal Audit functions 
• Contribute to the overall development of SMU and actively improve institutional culture
• Any other related duties assigned by the HOD

  Queen Cakes Recipe Ingredients : 3 cups of cake flour  1/2 cup of sugar  1/2 tsp salt  3 tsp baking powder  2 eggs  1 cup milk  1 tsp vanilla essence  1/2 cup of cooking oil  Method : Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and mix (dry ingredients ). In a separate bowl add eggs, cooking oil, milk, and vanilla essence and mix (wet ingredients ). Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Gently mix the mixture.  In your greased pan fill each baking tray cup with the muffin mixture. Bake at 180° for 15 - 20 mins or until golden brown.

  WORS / SAUSAGE STEW RECIPE Ingredients : Cooking oil Wors / Sausage 1 full Onion 1 Beef stock cube 1 Tsp of Rajah curry powder with garlic 1 Tsp of Rajah mild and spicy 1 Tsp of Six gun 2 Grated Tomatoes 1 Tbsp of Worcestershire 2 Tbsp Tomato sauce A half packet of brown onion soup 250ml of Water 2 tsp of sugar  Instruction : Add cooking oil to  your pot. When the oil is heated up, add your wors/sausage to  your pan and fry. Once your wors is fried, remove it from the pot. Put the pot back on your stove without the wors, add your onion,  and  beef stock cube and mix, then add your rajah mild and spicy spice, rajah carry powder with garlic spice,   six gun spice,  and stir. Add your grated tomato , Worcestershire sauce, and tomato sauce, and stir  On the side, in your bowl mix brown onion soup with water and add it to your gravy pot and mix then add 2 tsp sugar and mix  Cut your wors into pieces and put them in the gravy mixture and mix. & Enjoy.
