Marist Brothers Linmeyer: Learnership Programme Students x 4 2023

Marist Brothers Linmeyer seeks to offer enthusiastic and committed student teachers the opportunity to gain on-the-job training while studying as a student towards an education degree suited to InterSen Primary School teaching (Grades 4 – 7) and Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Phase High School teaching
(Grades 8 – 12).

Due to further development, the following posts are available:

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should :

  • have a matric certificate;
  • be in 3rd or 4th year of study toward a distance-based Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree or be registering for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE);
  • be specializing in Intermediate, Senior, and Further Education and Training phases;
  • have proof of provisional registration with SACE;
  • have a proven track record of academic rigor at a South African university; and
  • be a South African citizen.

  Placement and teaching subjects to be considered:

  • X 2 Primary School (Intermediate and Senior Phase)
  • X 2 High School (English Home Language and IsiZulu First Additional Language)

Suitable candidates should possess:

  • be disciplined and willing to embark on distance learning while working full-time in a school environment;
  • be able to add value to the school’s extra-curricular program;
  • be enthusiastic, creative, and innovative;
  • be willing to work and support the Catholic, Marist ethos of the school;
  • be deeply committed to their development as a teacher and welcome constructive feedback, translating feedback into improvements and innovations;
  • be able to work effectively as a member of a team; and
  • commit to the school’s transformation, equity, and belonging strategic objectives in support of an equitable, inclusive, and safe school environment for all.

  Queen Cakes Recipe Ingredients : 3 cups of cake flour  1/2 cup of sugar  1/2 tsp salt  3 tsp baking powder  2 eggs  1 cup milk  1 tsp vanilla essence  1/2 cup of cooking oil  Method : Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and mix (dry ingredients ). In a separate bowl add eggs, cooking oil, milk, and vanilla essence and mix (wet ingredients ). Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Gently mix the mixture.  In your greased pan fill each baking tray cup with the muffin mixture. Bake at 180° for 15 - 20 mins or until golden brown.

  WORS / SAUSAGE STEW RECIPE Ingredients : Cooking oil Wors / Sausage 1 full Onion 1 Beef stock cube 1 Tsp of Rajah curry powder with garlic 1 Tsp of Rajah mild and spicy 1 Tsp of Six gun 2 Grated Tomatoes 1 Tbsp of Worcestershire 2 Tbsp Tomato sauce A half packet of brown onion soup 250ml of Water 2 tsp of sugar  Instruction : Add cooking oil to  your pot. When the oil is heated up, add your wors/sausage to  your pan and fry. Once your wors is fried, remove it from the pot. Put the pot back on your stove without the wors, add your onion,  and  beef stock cube and mix, then add your rajah mild and spicy spice, rajah carry powder with garlic spice,   six gun spice,  and stir. Add your grated tomato , Worcestershire sauce, and tomato sauce, and stir  On the side, in your bowl mix brown onion soup with water and add it to your gravy pot and mix then add 2 tsp sugar and mix  Cut your wors into pieces and put them in the gravy mixture and mix. & Enjoy.
