GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

VACANCY DETAILS

Job Title:  Graduate Trainee - Supply Chain Planning

Unit / Division:  Supply Chain

Duty Station:  Johannesburg, South Africa 

Duration:  11 months

Salary & Benefits: Graduates will receive competitive monthly remuneration and Medical Aid 

 

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the following disciplines:  Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or related fields.

Qualifications must have been obtained within the previous year (2022) or current year (2023) with an academic average of at least 75%.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Support with data analysis and visualisation of data to ensure clear messaging and drive decision-making.
  • Support with data cleansing and data capture.
  • Supply Chain Planning support to complex operations to ensure an optimal allocation of resources within operational constraints.
  • Identification of supply chain cost inefficiencies in RBJ operations and proposition of models to achieve cost savings.
  • Co-development of the tools to support supply chain decision-making.
  • Provision of informed coordination backed by supply chain analytics as required in operations with a regional scope.
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau and Excel

Perform other related duties as required.


TERMS & CONDITIONS

Applicants must:

  • be a national or permanent resident of the country in which the position is advertised.

  • not have a first-level family member working for WFP (parent, sibling, or child)
  • have no work experience or up to a maximum of 12 months post-graduate cumulative formal work experience (this excludes work undertaken during full-time studies)
