 JAM TARTS BISCUITS RECIPE


INGREDIENTS 

250g softened butter 

250ml sugar 

2 eggs 

5ml vanilla essence 

3 cups of flour 

1 tsp baking powder 

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda 

Jam 

Serves: 15 Jam tarts 

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease your baking pan

In a bowl cream together the butter and sugar until light & creamy 

Add eggs and vanilla essence then continue to mix

Sift flour, baking powder, and Bicarbonate of soda then add to the creamy mixture and mix

Divide the dough, put one cup of dough in the freezer for 15 - 20mins then the other one press it on your baking pan, and spread the jam over the base.

Then take out the dough in the freezer and grate it on top of the dough in your pan

Bake until golden brown and crispy

Leave to cool then slice into equal squares then serve.

INGREDIENTS :

6 cups cake flour
4 tsp yeast
2 & a half cups of warm water
1 tsp salt
6 tablespoon Sugar
1 Lid of Cooking oil

METHOD

In a bowl add flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and cooking oil then mix

Then add warm water bit by bit and mix, your flour should not be too wet or too dry

Dust a clean surface using flour and knead your dough For about 5 mins

Put your dough in a greased bowl and cover it for 30 mins / until the dough is double the size

After the dough has doubled in size, round shape your vetkoeks then drop them one by one in your preheated oil

Fry until golden brown on medium heat and Enjoy.
